Who We Are

Non Profit Military Charity
Our military service members give so much; at Our Heroes’ Journey, we want to give back.

Our Heroes’ Journey adopts individuals, groups and units to provide the caring compassion that our nation’s men and women in uniform deserve. From financial assistance to emotional support, our organization helps ensure that military families have what they need, whether they’re currently serving or have served in the past.

Our Heroes’ Journey: A No-Fail Mission

“We need to make sure that nobody gets left behind; that nobody is forgotten; that nobody gets lost in the shuffle.” –Kelly Luisi, Founder of Our Heroes’ Journey
Our Heroes’ Journey’s mission is to ensure that all service members, past and present, have access to the resources they need to adapt to civilian life. We understand that the military isn’t just a “job.” It’s a lifestyle. These courageous men and women have each written a blank check to the American public; they and their families sacrifice more than most people will ever know.

Deployed and Returning Service Members

When our soldiers, airmen, Marines and sailors deploy to combat zones, they face challenges that we’re only now beginning to understand. Our Heroes’ Journey’s mission is to provide them with the resources they need while they’re gone, including lending helping hands to stateside families who are struggling.
Once these heroes return from lengthy deployments, we do everything we can to help them settle back into a normal life—one where there isn’t a threat lurking around every corner; one where they’re safe, loved and needed by each and every one of us.

Combat-Wounded Heroes

At Our Heroes’ Journey, combat-wounded heroes are always close to our hearts. We’re thankful for the sacrifices they’ve made; while we cannot replace what they’ve lost, we honor them and appreciate what they’ve given.Once these heroes return from lengthy deployments, we do everything we can to help them settle back into a normal life—one where there isn’t a threat lurking around every corner; one where they’re safe, loved and needed by each and every one of us.

Why We Help Our Heroes

We established Our Heroes’ Journey to help meet the needs of our troops and their families. We’ve also made it our mission to educate the public on the effects that war has on our nation’s bravest citizens. Founder Kelly Luisi lost her brother, Army Sgt. Kyle Colnot, to Operation Iraqi Freedom on April 22, 2006, so the entire organization is based on a genuine understanding of what these brave men and women trade for our freedoms.
Please feel free to learn more about us and what we do and when you’re ready, give what you can to these service members and their families. You can also explore our Support Store, where you’ll find patriotic tees, bracelets and more designed to help you support members of each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.

We need your help

Those that serve and have served are all around us, in every corner of every community. It is up to all of us to reach out and help those that have served and show our appreciation. Together we can work together to combat the issues that all active military, veterans, combat wounded, homeless veterans and families of our fallen face. If we each choose to outreach to those in our communities we can all make a difference and have a positive influence and impact on those that need us the most. A listening ear, and appreciative heart and community can prevent suicides, homelessness, create jobs and offer support systems for those that have been left behind.
